FAQ
-
Caleb Lennon Wile was a vibrant two-year-old who smiled with his whole face & loved unconditionally with his whole heart. He never knew a stranger & gave love freely to everyone he met.
Caleb was borrowed from heaven on February 9th of 2014 & returned unexpectedly in his sleep on May 2nd of 2016. Even after hiring a private forensic pathologist, a cause of death could not be determined & was classified as “SUDC,” or Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood.
Since Caleb was born on the 9th of February, his parents share The Caleb Effect on the 9th of each month to celebrate their beautiful boy's life.
The Caleb Effect Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to celebrating the life & love of Caleb by sharing kindness, advocating for research & supporting those affected by SUDC.

Shortly after losing Caleb, his family started noticing positive interactions that were only possible because of his influence. Those who avoided each other were now peacefully gathered. Stories of ladybugs and miraculous rose sightings were happening to many who knew nothing of each other’s experiences. Caleb made people more deliberate in spending time with those they love and more patient to find another perspective. His parents began referring to these transformations as “The Caleb Effect.”

Each year, we come together to celebrate the anniversary of The Caleb Effect Foundation becoming an official non-profit organization!
Caleb LOVED all the excitement, camaraderie and joy of race day.
In fact, the last week of his life, he was thrilled to jump up and down on the streets of downtown OKC for the OKC Memorial Marathon. He was there honoring his great aunt, Ruth (a survivor and regular course marshal), cheering for his mom, and sharing his joy with thousands of runners and spectators.
By hosting our annual fun run, our goal is to raise funds to continue spreading the brightest rays still shining from Caleb's life.
Each month, we donate money to various charities both locally & globally to help support other non-profits & SUDC research. One day, we hope no parent ever has to experience the loss of a child to SUDC.
All donations & sponsorships are tax deductable, & every dollar goes directly to the The Caleb Effect.
